In my opinion, Capulet, Juliet’s father is the person that’s the most at fault. Even though Romeo and Juliet’s decision led to their death, Capulet’s action led to most of these decisions. His carelessness to his child made Juliet so close to the nurse rather than her own parents. In the play, when Paris comes and ask to marry with Juliet, Capulet just told Paris how much he loves his daughter by saying “earth hath swallowed all my hope but she, she’s the hopeful lady of my earth.” However, he didn’t even go to Juliet to talk with her about Paris. Lady Capulet was talking to Juliet and she could only do it with the nurse by their side. This scene shows how much Juliet and her parents are just like strangers to each other while Capulet try’s so hard to show his great love to his daughter. Capulet’s love is only said but not done. Therefore, when Juliet likes Romeo, she could only say it to the nurse. Without her parents’ support, her relationship with Romeo can only be hidden. When Capulet decided to let Paris marry Juliet, he was putting lots stress on Juliet too. He said to Juliet, “And you be mine, I’ll give you to my friend; And you be not, hang, beg, starve, die in the streets, For, by my soul, I’ll ne’er acknowledge thee, Nor what is mine shall never do thee good”. To still be together with Romeo, Juliet decided to go to Friar and took the poison from him.  Therefore, this quote shows the audience that Capulet doesn’t really care how Juliet feels and who she loves. In conclusion, Capulet took part in leading to the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and is the most at fault person.
