For our group project Romeo and Juliet college version, David Wang wrote the general storyline of the story and all of us planned the details in the play together. I played the role of Juliet. David played the role of Romeo. Nia played the roles of Juliet’s friend, Tybalt, Friar Lawrence and the guard in the jail. Joey played the roles of Mercutio, policeman, and Lord Capulet. In our story, Juliet met Romeo in a party and fell in love with each other. However, Tybalt saw them together and decided to kill Romeo so that he doesn’t distract Juliet from getting her PhD. Tybalt tried to kill Romeo with poisoned water but Mercutio accidentally drank the water and died. Romeo killed Tybalt to revenge for Mercutio and got deported back to France. Juliet heard the news from Lord Capulet and asked to go back to France. Lord Capulet didn’t let her go back. Juliet asked Friar Lawrence to help her. Friar Lawrence sold a gun to her and asked her to shoot off her room so that she can get deport...

Right or Wrong? It depends. On November 10th, I went to see the CA adaptation of The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertolt Brecht. It was translated by Eric Bently.   The play was performed in the black box theater of Cheshire Academy. The character Grusha Vashnadze was played by Samantha “Sam” Weed. The character Azdak was played by Yuheng Deng. Simon Shashava was played by Yuanjun Luo. Amalia Gutierrez was the singer in the play. The story took place in the aftermath of WWII. Lots governors were executed at that time. Including one wealthy Georgi Abashwili. After he died, his wife, Natella Abashvili tried to run away from the capital city so that she doesn't get killed either. However, Natella was so focused on her dresses that she forgot to bring her son, Michael with her. Their servant Grusha Vachnadze saw the poor child and decided to take care of the child until his mother comes back to him. I’m in David Wang’s group for our reproduction program.  In our group, I will play Juliet in the scene. Because we are almost doing the whole story in our version, Juliet’s emotion changes as the storyline go. When Juliet is in love with Romeo, she is always excited and amused by her dear love. She wants to be with Romeo wherever he goes. When Juliet decided to call Lord Capulet to say that she wants to go back with Romeo, she was afraid of her father. She was also very brave at the moment because of the support she feels for her lover towards Romeo. After Lord Capulet tells Juliet that she cannot go back with Romeo until she gets a PhD, Juliet was so hopeless. Towards the end of the story, Juliet becomes very extreme so that she even shot on campus so that she can get banished and go back to the country to be with Romeo. The scenes that I want to do is the first scene in the play where the servants of the Capulet and Montague families fought on the street. I want this adaption to be comic. The scene will be set in the gym. The people in the Capulet family and the Montague family will be changed to volleyball team and basketball team. There will also be a coach to represent the role of the Prince. I only want two random characters from each family and one coach to be in the scene. These characters will be relevant in the scene because I want to show how big the conflict between the Capulet family (volleyball team) and the Montagues family (basketball team) is. The conflict is not only between the leaders of the two families; it’s between the two group, among all the members from each side. Such a dramatic thing does not really happen anymore. However, in the play written by Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet , the children of two families that see each other as their biggest enemy in the world, sacrificed their lives for their love. In the movie version of Romeo and Juliet, directed by Erik Bauer, the death of Romeo and Juliet was glorified. In the movie, Romeo and Juliet met at a Capulet party and fell in love at first sight.
