Act 2 Scene 3:

The beginning of scene there is a monologue of Friar Lawrence. He talks about different lives in the earth and how every life should be loved. He thinks that even things are different, that should not stop them from accepting each other. Then, Romeo enters and asks Friar Lawrence to marry him with a girl. Friar Lawrence thought that Romeo was getting married to Rosalie but them Romeo said he wants to marry the daughter of the Capulet family-Juliet. Friar Lawrence refused in Romeo. Then, he thought about the possibility of two houses become friends again by seeing the pure love between Romeo and Juliet. Finally, he agreed to marry them.

Act 2 Scene 4:

Benvolio and Mercutio were talking about Romeo not going home last night and what he could be doing. Then, they imagined Romeo blindly go for his love and encountered Tybalt and was killed by Tybalt. Benvolio and Mercutio also made some jokes about the Capulets. Romeo enters. Benvolio and Mercutio went ahead and went to check him. Mercutio started to blame Romeo for him being counterfeit. After they joke around, the friends became close again and just plays around. Mercutio felt happy for Romeo to be happy and energetic again. The nurse and Peter enters. The three boys were not being polite to her. The nurse asked to see Romeo. Despite the interruption of Mercutio, Romeo started to talk with the nurse. The nurse is angered by Mercutio and complained about him for a long time. When the nurse finally asked Romeo about his plan and made Romeo show his heart to her. The nurse was really happy for Juliet.

Act 2 Scene 5:

Juliet has a monologue at the beginning of scene 5. It shows her impatience. She blams the nurse for being so slow, taking three hours to ask the Romeo about his plan. When the nurse finally comes, Juliet acted so excitedly. The nurse was trying to trick Juliet and said she was so tired and needed a rest. Juliet acted even, in some scenes, rudely. When the nurse started to talk about Romeo, she said lots accomplishments of Romeo. Juliet said she had already known those and wished to hear more from the nurse. Then, Juliet started to rub the nurse’s shoulders and begged her to tell her about his massage. Nurse tells Juliet about the wish that Romeo made to make Juliet the wife of his. Juliet was so happy. Juliet thanked the nurse.

Act 2 Scene 6:

Romeo and Friar Lawrence waited for Juliet and Romeo thinks this shining moment is worth waiting for. Juliet runs into the church and kisses Romeo. Romeo asks for her hand again and they expressed to each other how royal and happy they are to their love. Friar Lawrence separates them and went ahead to start the wedding.

These three scenes brings me a whole new view of how a pair lovers looks like. They kisses all the time, talking about love all the time, wanting to stay with each other all the time, smiling all the time. In my opinion, since they are both young and passionate, most of their actions are understandable to me. However, the scene where Juliet acted so rude and angry to the nurse when nurse took a long time asking Romeo for his plan, really confused me. I thought Juliet as a nice girl who treat the nurse like her dearest friend and respects her all the time. In the movie that we saw in the class, Juliet was just like what I imagined her to be when i read the book. However, the two versions are very different and I do like the movie better.
